OUTREACH MISSIONS
Part of ministering to our neighbors is through the Outreach Mission of the church. We welcome others in partnering with us as MUMC reaches out to love our neighbors in the name of Christ.
DISASTER RESPONSE
As natural disasters and other disastrous events take place across the country and around the world, Mohawk UMC is quick to respond with contributions to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). To help with disaster recovery, as the events occur, checks may be written to "Mohawk United Methodist Church". Please contact the church office or treasurer to learn the "Advance Directive" number to write on the memo line. 100% of your donation will go to the named project. Gifts may also be given online at www.umcor.org
MISSION TRAVEL
MUMC supports with funds, prayers, and interest, two global Missionaries,
Tom Heaton in Guatemala (www.missionguatemala.com), and
David Roney in Latvia (www.josiahventure.com
In addition, a mission team traveled to Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Chatham, IL in March 2016. They spent time assembling disaster response kits (such as cleaning buckets, health kits, school kits, etc.) and doing a variety of other tasks. The next trip is anticipated to take place in 2018,
