Minister
Rev. Kerry O'Brien

Reverend Kerry O’Brien has been a minister since 1997.  As a “second career” pastor, he has over 20 years of experience in the business world before going to seminary and becoming an ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church.  He graduated from Garret-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 2003, and began his first full time appointment right afterwards, in Elkhart, IN.  He was ordained in The United Methodist Church in 2006.

Pastor Kerry has served Indiana churches in Roselawn, Elkhart (Trinity), Kokomo (Main Street), Plymouth (Trinity), Richmond (Central), and most recently at Grace UMC in Rochester.  He was born and raised in Hammond, IN.

Pastor Kerry has been married to his wife, Lynne, for 44 years.  They have two children, a daughter-in-law, and six grandchildren.  All of them now live in the greater Indianapolis area, which makes Pastor Kerry and Lynne very happy to live so much closer to them.

Joy, integrity, energy, care, humor, and an abiding relationship with Jesus Christ are among the many gifts Pastor Kerry brings to his ministry.  He loves children, very young to very old!  He welcomes everyone who wishes to sincerely worship and praise God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to Mohawk UMC.

Keyboardist
Marcia Brown

Marcia Brown is serving as our church accompanist and takes joy in ministering through music. She's been playing the piano since the age of six and credits her mother for not allowing her to quit music lessons. Feel free to let Marcia know if you would be interested on working on a special song or if you just have an old favorite you might like to hear.
